The WBRA 2024 Annual General Meeting was held on October 29 at the Marlwood Golf and Country Club. Association Vice-President Glenn Smale opened by introducing the Board of Directors and a special guest speaker, Stephanie Otto, from the Canada Water Agency. Stephanie gave a short presentation on Shoreline Management and invited shoreline property owners to participate in interview sessions to help build an understanding of shoreline management in the Wasaga beach community.
Association President Peter Gribbin shared the results of the 2024 WBRA Town Progress Survey conducted from June through September. For each question in the survey, Peter showed a breakdown of the answers by percentage and gave a few samples of the respondents' comments. Overall, it seems our residents show strong support for the Town's progress.
WBRA Annual General Meeting business was tended to with the Treasurer's Report on WBRA finances and election of the Board of Directors.
Guest speaker Mayor Brian Smith delivered a presentation dealing with the 2025 Budget, Beachfront Development, Council's Impact and Growth in 2024, 2025 Priorities. A Question and Answer session followed.
