2024 Annual General Meeting

WBRA 2024 Annual General Meeting was held on October 29 at the Marlwood Golf and Country Club. Mayor Brian Smith delivered a presentation on the 2025 Budget, Beachfront Development, Council’s Impact and Growth in 2024, 2025 Priorities, and Q&A. WBRA President Peter Gribbin shared the results of the Town Progress Survey conducted by WBRA. The treasurer reported on finances and the election of directors. Video of each segment included.

Brian Smith Elected Mayor

Brian Smith Elected Mayor

Brian Smith has been elected mayor of Wasaga Beach. Brian finished with 4,477 votes, more than 1,500 votes ahead of Nina Bifolchi. In a statement to the press he said;
“I think it’s a clear, definitive win and a clear mandate that the people want us to get back to where we left off (in 2018),” he said. “I think there’s a whole lot of issues that we’re going to have to delve into rather quickly.”
